929 Dining + Family Room Renovation

September 6, 2016

Our family and dining rooms, were really great spaces before we renovated so we didn’t need to do any major renovations! If you look back at the before and after house plans, you will see that we were able to make both of these rooms at bit bigger by using the existing outdoor breezeway for heated space. We used the front part of the outdoor breezeway (right off of the family room) and turned it into a small mud / laundry room.

In the family room, we tore down the existing beadboard, removed the ceiling fan and added can lights, repainted the walls, ceiling, and fireplace, added crown molding, added arched doorways to match the kitchen, redid the existing built-in cabinet, and sanded and stained the hardwood floors. In the dining room, we added a new window for more natural light, tore out the existing built-in cabinet and bar area, repainted the walls and ceiling, sanded and stained the hardwood floors, added a new light fixture and added arched doorways to match.
