Half Marathon Journey: Week 21

June 11, 2016

calliedavis-halfmarathon-2000 This is it y’all.

Today we’re heading down to Atlanta and tomorrow morning we’ll be running what we’ve been training for for the past 6 months. It’s crazy to me how fast the time has gone. I’m feeling nervous and excited. I’m not nervous about completing the race or that we’re not ready. I know we are ready! I’m nervous about the unknown course. Jamie and I run the same exact course every run and we’ve gotten really familiar with it. Part of me thinks it will be nice not to know when a hill or hard part is coming but the other part of me makes me nervous that I won’t be able to anticipate for those hard places. I’m excited for the race environment, to hear the random cheering people with bells and funny posters, the excitement of running with TONS of people and knowing that Nancy, Will, Elizabeth and Olivia are out there running too.

This has been one of the most difficult things I have ever (hopefully) accomplished and I am truly so proud of myself. I’ve learned a lot along the way, and I can’t wait to share some of those things with you in the weeks to come! Thank you for cheering me on, following along with me on this journey, and chiming in with your recommendations and opinions!

LET’S DO THIS!

Miles this week: 9 Miles
Total Miles: 304 Miles
