This week began discouraging but ended really encouraging (see that top picture of me jumping for joy!). On Monday, I wasn’t able to complete my workout because I realized that hadn’t properly nourished myself during the day, and let’s just say I felt terrible (see bottom left picture). I am realizing more and more each day how food and water truly affect my exercise. It was a good but hard learning experience for me, and moving forward I am trying to be more intentional with drinking water, especially with lemon because it’s my favorite! Fast forward to Friday, I went to the YMCA with Jamie and ran the most I’ve run to date – 3 miles. Big shoutout to the treadmill and Gilmore Girls for keeping me going! I told a friend the other day that I’m not sure if that workout should encourage or discourage me because I was running inside on 0 incline and was watching tv… aka the complete opposite of the conditions I will be running the 1/2 marathon in. If only, I could watch Netflix while running 13.1 miles! Regardless, I’m proud of the steps forward I took, and I looking forward to this week’s recovery week!
