Cinque Terre

July 14, 2015

calliedavis-italy-1047 Cinque Terre is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Not only is it filled with colorful houses on the Italian Riviera, but it has the most unbelievable views! I am proud to say that between my last trip to Cinque Terre and this trip, I have officially hiked the whole Cinque Terre trail; from town one (Riomaggiore) to town five (Monterosso)!

Hiking Itinerary
Train from Portofino to Monterosso
Hiked from Monterosso to Vernazza (4 Hour Hike)
Ate lunch and relaxed in Vernazza
Took the ferry to Manarola (saw Corniglia along the way)
Hiked from Manarola to Riomaggiore (1 Hour Hike)
Train from Riomaggiore back to Portofino

Cinque Terre is the BEST! I absolutely loved my time there, and it’s a little surreal how gorgeous it is!! We hiked 4/5 of the towns, and man, some of those hikes are arduous! But the views and the strolls through the towns were so, so worth it. The gelato wasn’t too shabby either! Ha – we ate gelato every chance we could.
