On January 22, 1991 I was born and proudly named after my aunt, as Carolyn Somers Pitts. In that very moment, I never realized that for the rest of my life I would be telling people “You can call me Callie.” I’m not entirely sure how you get Callie from Carolyn, but it just works!

Welcome, friends! I started this blog in efforts to share my life, improve my writing, help and encourage others in a similar phase of life and document our lives as we are busy doing what we love. For as long as I can remember, journaling has been a huge part of my life and today, I am excited to begin to translate some of it into a place that can be shared. You will meet many people that are dear to my heart, most importantly, my husband who is the strongest and kindest man I know. It is only because of his steadfast encouragement and push, that I was able to begin this blog. Please do not be fooled, as I hope you will soon see, our lives are not perfect but it is through great challenges and growth that we are being molded and transformed into The Lord’s image.

Here you will find inspiration boards, celebrations, wedding planning tips, our home renovation process, decorating, traveling adventures, style, honesty as a new wife and much more!

Thank you for joining me on this great adventure! Please don’t be shy! If I had it my way, I would jump through this screen, into wherever you are reading this and give you a giant hug!

Callie, what a cool way to share your life with your friends and family. I’m currently living in Houston and have already met 2 people that know you through young life (Emily Price and Christi Tullos). It makes Houston not feel so far from home when things like that happen! Hope all is well!
